Abstract
Substantive norms regarding gender equality would become mere romantic ideas if they were not accompanied by procedural norms that explained the suitable effectiveness in eradicating gender prejudice. Hence the importance of what are referred to as effective jurisdictional protection clauses governing gender equality. Such clauses appear in international instruments, in EU regulations, in internal law and, specifically, in regulations governing the labour process. Our study will focus on regulations in the labour process and will take the recent Law governing Social Jurisdiction as a recent regulatory reference point, which provides for the appointment of the social judge as one of its aims as the ordinary guarantor of basic rights.
