Ethical code

"Lan Harremanak" is committed to ensuring the ethics and quality of the articles published. The journal strives to respond to the needs of readers and authors and to constantly improve the publications. In addition, it complies with the regulations on personal data protection, confidentiality and intellectual property.

In the admission or non-admission of manuscripts received, consideration is given to their importance, originality and clarity or contribution, as well as the validity of the study and its relevance according to the objectives of the journal.

The journal publishes all the guidelines to be taken into account by the authors. These guidelines are updated regularly. In addition, a double-blind evaluation process is followed for the articles that are published. The journal is open to any person in the academic or professional field related to the subject matter of the journal, who is interested in publishing an article and should take into account the criteria for submission of originals and the established article selection system.

Regarding the prevention of possible bad practices, authors must guarantee that the submitted papers are original and unpublished and must avoid both plagiarism and self-plagiarism. Plagiarism is understood as the presentation of another's work as one's own; the inclusion of phrases, concepts or ideas from others without citing the source or citing them incorrectly; the use of literal or paraphrased quotations without indicating the source. Self-plagiarism is the redundant reuse of one's own work, usually without proper citation. The author should bear in mind that manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism assessment processes through the Similarity Check system. The criteria for assessing similarity will always be subject to the decision of the Editorial Board and will follow the guidelines of the COPE Guide for these cases. In the event that plagiarism is found to have occurred or there are doubts, the manuscript will be rejected for publication.

In the case of shared authorship, the person listed as the journal's interlocutor must ensure that the text submitted is the result of a consensus of all authors and that it has not been previously submitted or published in another medium.

The editors of the journal strive to ensure that the evaluation of journal articles is fair, impartial and timely. They advise reviewers as required and provide them with a review form that is regularly updated. Under no circumstances should reviewers disseminate or use information, details or interpretations contained in the text under review for their own benefit or that of third parties. For their part, editors are obliged to keep the texts received and their content confidential until they have been published. Likewise, no editor may use data, arguments or interpretations contained in unpublished works for his or her own research, except with the express written consent of the authors.
