As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
-

-
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons License.

THEORIA does not welcome duplicate publications – in particular Spanish translations of papers already published in a different language.
-
You can use any reference/citation style for the submission. We'll request a formatted version if the paper is accepted. Please refer to our formatting instructions.
-
Authors are informed that their manuscripts may be subjected to plagiarism detection using the Similarity Check system.
ORIGINAL PAPERS:
Manuscripts are not expected to exceed 10.000 words. Please submit your paper to THEORIA through our online system. If you need help at any point, email us: theoria@ehu.eus
You can register as author here.
Once you obtain your username and password, log in and click "Author". Then "Start a new submission" in five steps.
[If you ever refereed for us, you probably have a journal account already: request your password using the "Forgot password?" link]
- Step 1. Starting the Submission
Have a look at our author's checklist below to make sure that your paper is ready for submission.
- Step 2. Entering the Submission's Metadata
Please enter here all the metadata that will identify your paper. You do not have to fill in all the fields (only those marked with a star *), but the more complete the information you provide, the easier it will be to index your paper once it gets published. If your paper is in Spanish, use the Spanish title and abstract.
- Step 3. Uploading the Submission
Upload here a PDF version (.pdf) prepared for anonymous refereeing, with all the identifying information removed (also from the metadata of the document).
- Step 4. Uploading Supplementary Files
Upload here a Rich Text Format (.rtf) or Microsoft Word (.doc) version, including the author's name and institutional address.
- Step 5. Confirming the Submission
Click on the "Finish Submission" button to send us your paper. You will receive an email acknowledgement, confirming that the paper has been received, and you will be able to track its course through the system.
Once your paper is accepted, we will request a final version with further specifications. Please refer to our formatting instructions.
We will try to make a decision on your paper as soon as possible. The journal's average turnaround time can be checked here: [Updated statistics]
LaTeX
If you make a significant use of mathematical notation in your paper, THEORIA encourages the use of LaTeX: once your paper is accepted, please request our style files and instructions. An anonymized pdf will do for the submission.
BOOK REVIEWS:
THEORIA does not currently publish unsolicited reviews.
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons License.
The names and e-mail addresses submitted to this journal will be used exclusively for the purposes of this journal and will not be made available to anyone outside UPV/EHU Press.
