Abstract
This paper departs from the following observation:despite the comparatively larger cultural plurality ofthe tourist municipalities of Adeje, Arona, and Santiago del Teide, reflected by the heterogeneous nationalities of their residents, the hegemonic discourses on the Others have been in their content and form identical to the ones observed (reconstructed) in regard to Tenerife's public sphere taken as a whole. Throughthis observation, through the drawing of its contours and the exposition of three explicative hypotheses, we will gain a more general look on the way the living together in these municipalities has organized itself
