Abstract

The "migratory issue" has become one of the most relevant aspects of Spain's social reality during the last decade. This paper briefly tries to explain the following: first, the relationship between the social transformations occurred in Spain since the last two decades and the "institutionalization" of "the immigrant Spain"; second, some of the immigrants precariousness features, starting from the radical vulnerability that comes from its double position as "worker" and "foreigner"; third, there will be a change in the point of view of the paper because it briefly explores the basics that should be performed by politics focused on integration of an with immigrants: redistribution, recognition and representation.
