Abstract

Schools are the basic settings where encounters, exchanges, coexistence and management of future citizenship happen. The control of life and of the living is a political exercise that assigns each student a place and a relationship with others. This paper will show new paradigms of emotional construction of space, according to the relation language / identity among "new speakers". Emotional performances take place between people who speak a language usually different from the dominant one in the classroom. The aim of this paper is to show the complexity of multilingual communication situations, and how emotions are intertwined with the practices of the new speakers and their social environment.
