Abstract

In this article, which pays tribute to the work of Professor Pérez-Agote, two of the issues that have drawn sociologists' attention in recent years will be tackled: secularization and religious plurality? We will try to contribute particularly to the analysis of the second issue, religious plurality, regarding today's two main non-catholic religions in Spain, Islam and Evangelical-Pentecostalism, by figuring out how, under what circumstances and to what extent cultural religious interaction (differentiation/dis-differentiation) is relevant to the survival of religion in the case of a social minority
