Forgetting names

Abstract
Through my fieldwork in retirement homes observing the management of life and its limits, I propose to investigate situations in which the name no longer works, no longer does what it did, no longer refers to a person, or at least, the person no longer feels referred to by it. Names that are not used, that do not unite, that do not name, but which, nevertheless, contrast with the need to produce names for a time when the old ones do not work anymore. All this for the sake of recounting certain situations, figures and experiences that remain outside what the social sciences analyze. An endeavor that ties in with the concerns of the magazine, its past trajectory and the future that is opening up today.
