1945eko Full Employment Bill edo Enplegu Beterako Lege-proiektuari buruzko eztabaida eta 1946ko Employment Act edo Enplegu Legearen onarpena funtsezko unetzat jotzen dira Estatu Batuetan hegemonia keynestarra finkatzeko prozesuan, bereziki korronte enpresaburuen aldekoenari dagokionez. Artikulu honek Bigarren Mundu Gerraren amaierako testuinguru historikoan enplegu betearen lege-proiektuaren aurka erabili ziren argudio kontserbadoreak aztertzen ditu, eta egiaztatzen du haietan eragin erabakigarria izan zutela lehen neoliberalismoko ideiek, alegia, Walter Lippmann, Friedrich Hayek eta beste zenbaitek garatu eta enpresaburu-erakundeek nahiz Kapitolioko sektore eskuindarrenek bultzatutakoek.
