Abstract
The cooperation agreement between the university school of labour relations at the UPV/EHU and Multinationals Watch in Latin America (OMAL) is an experiment in action research intended to have a political impact. The starting point is how the university context approaches profound debates, such as for example what to research or how to include social movements, NGOs and trade unions in outreach work linked to academic training and research, which lie outside the official agenda. In this context, the implementation of the agreement has made research possible into the power of major transnational corporations and human rights, involving rigorous, documented critical analysis, together with a set of activities related to dissemination, socialisation and political impact.
