Abstract

The purpose of this paper consists in analyzing the scope of labour risks prevention regarding work-on demand via apps. Precisely, this new form of work, which fits within the gig economy, presents several ques-tions in matters of prevention that need to be addressed in order to move forward towards an effective protec-tion of the security and health of those who perform this type of work. To that end, firstly, we will explain some general considerations regarding work-on-demand via apps. Afterward, we will carry out an approach to the main labour risks concerning this form of work, paying special attention to psychosocial risks. On this basis, we will address the labour risks prevention within on-demand-work via apps, by the analysis of its dif-ferent scope depending on the legal category that the service providers receive. Lastly, we will present the main conclusions of the study.
