Abstract

The imprint of the regulatory treatment of working time in the successive reforms and the emergence and consolidation of digital technology has caused the disappearance of the spatio-temporal model typical of the industrial era to enter an experience with working time that is based in inconceivably brief moments that allow “the simultaneous nature of social relations” replacing real space with processes carried out in real time. Process that has triggered a fragmentation that erases or blurs the beginning and end of the workday to give rise to “constant connectivity.” With this, we are witnessing an organization of society expressed in a general way in the idea that work rest times no longer constitute effective limits for the preservation and development of those.
