Abstract
The social changes which have taken place in the labour world in the last few decades have given rise to the phenomenon of the conflict between our working lives and family life as a subject of increasing importance in labour relations. In this article, we review the explanatory theoretical models of the conflict between our working lives and family life from both the individual and the organizational perspectives. The antecedents, the consequences and the moderating variables which are involved in the interaction between the labour and personal and family spheres are identified and described. Similarly, the organizational, social and cultural which are involved in the expression of the phenomenon are listed, while the aspects which, from the organizational point of view, play a predominant role in the implantation and efficient use of the new measures and policies for conciliation between work and family are set out.
