Abstract
During the last years, as a result of the growing interest among international companies in the management of human resources, there are more and more papers on the strategies concerning the international management of human resources. Among the different perspectives from which it has been dealt with, we can mention the perspective of costs. Such viewpoint has scarcely been used and is basically centered around the theory of transaction costs. Its application has brought about valuable contributions to literature, but authors tend to center the analysis around recruitment. As a result, this article aims at expanding any previous contribution in order to estimate the relative cost of the strategies for the international management of human resources. With this aim, the analysis is based on the theory of transaction costs and the theory of resources and capacities.
