Abstract
In this article, we analyse the characteristics of the policies defined in two local employment pacts drawn up in Catalonia regarding the dynamic of new forms of employment at the workplace. Although this approach does not permit us to express a hypothesis based on extensive empirical comparison, the study of these two employment pacts does, however, direct us towards two extreme cases existing in Catalonia, the characteristics of which seem to be the most appropriate regarding the initial establishment of the features and factors behind the study at hand. As an immediate result, we can see that it is difficult to translate the content of the measures agreed upon in the workplace due to the features of political exchange governing the pacts and the policies of management of those who work in the workplace in which these measures are carried out. Wider analytical considerations make it possible for us to question the principle hypotheses defended in order to understand the relations between a more restricted kind of agreement at territorial level and microagreements linked to the new kinds of employment.
