Abstract
An education system necessarily involves strategic work on the development of both individual and collective identity, with the result that their presence is evident in the curriculum. However, today's changing society brings both doubts and changes in the way this is viewed by collectives. We think that the use of the cultural heritage from the immediate surroundings can be an effective way to facilitate the transmission of identity construction whilst respecting diversity and being more inclusive.
Keywords: Teaching and training. Identity. Cultural heritage in immediate surroundings. Transmission. Primary and Secondary education.
