Abstract

This work is presented in two parts. The first part reviews some aspects of the research into the stress and intonation of the Basque language; as well as offering a general panoramic view of the state of affairs, we aim to bring readers up to speed regarding the results of the experiment which is presented in the second part of the work. This second part analyses the acoustic characteristics which intervene in perceiving emotions. After analysing the phonological and phonetic aspects, we have researched the importance of images, to highlight their role in perception.
