Abstract
This article presents the results of research carried out by the Basque Government Department of Education Educational Innovation Executive Basque language Service, coordinated by the Basque Country Sociolinguistic Cluster. Working from comparative analysis of the Basque Country regional centres which develop quality programmes as well as linguistic standardisation programmes, the target of this research was to conclude how much standardisation plans are integrated within the structure of quality plans and give helpful guidelines regarding applying quality criteria and parameters within standardisation plans. The research results highlight the adaptation of a self-assessment prototype for intervention programmes based on the EFQM model and the preparation of a Basic Guide to help standardisation technicians, based on references and instruments developed in the quality programmes which are valid to respond to problems identified in applying linguistic standardisation programmes.
