Abstract

Different theoretical and practical approaches support the idea that changes the image break the sense of continuity and that this difference causes immediate reactions such as shock or surprise. In this article we propose an assembly design based on the change of visual intensity through the cut between sequences. It is an analysis of film clips, news and a controlled test reception, which stated that the visual variation over the 20 units intensity is related with high levels of emotional impression on receivers.
