Abstract
Who is best qualified to teach a course in Communication Ethics? In this paper we analyze the main possibilities which, as the literature on the subject reveals, are four: A Ph. D. in philosophy; a Ph. D. in communication; team - teaching; or the so-called "competent amateur". We also present the main findings of a survey carried out in 14 European Union member states. We analyze the responses of 49 Comnunication Ethics teachers who have been asked to fill in a questionnaire about their previous education and training. Results show that the most common option is the Communication specialist.
