Abstract

In 1961 the conflict of Gibraltar between Spain and Britain affect the question of the broadcast television spectrum. Since 1960, Gibraltar Television is invading Spanish territory with its signal and the Franco's regime wants to eliminate this possibility of free press. With unpublished documents from the Archive of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the article explains the resolution of the conflict and its impact on current audiovisual model in the territory of Gibraltar.
