Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the different theories of enunciation in order to identify the presence of the "subject of experience" in the making of the discourse.

All the semiotic approaches to the process of enunciation have serious difficulties when explaining the issue of the subject-in-the-text.

The theories of Jesús González Requena, rooted in Benveniste's, solve those difficulties considering enunciation as a process in which the subject uses language given a specific space and time.
