Abstract
The scientific literature maintains that Radio Castilla (EAJ-27), founded in 1933 and the official station of the rebels in the Civil War, was the pioneer in Burgos and Old Castilla. This investigation contributes that there were two previous ones. The first, Radio Publicidad Burgalesa, by businessman Manuel Fuentes Almaraz. It closed when Manuel Mata Villanueva and Fidel Martínez Saiz obtained official authorization for the EAJ-27 (Radio Castilla) station. The second was the radio at the Normal School for Teaching, an extra-short wave project that pioneered the use of radio as a teaching tool.
