Abstract

The Spanish Communication Research about Framing receives the legacy of the leading trends at the international sphere. However, the lack of powerful research teams and the prevalence of individual efforts locate the Spanish scholars at a secondary role in comparison with the leaders of this line of research.

This paper reviews the state of the art of the Communication Research about Framing, offering a new distribution of this scientific production in four main fields and two general perspectives. After that, the analytical focus is reduced to the Spanish scientific community, identifying its main strengthens and debilities.
