Abstract
Gazeta Nueva was edited by the Sevillian printer Juan Gómez de Blas (1661-1667). This is thought to be the most important gazette published in Spanish cities other than the capital, only partly based on the one printed in Madrid. However the information on this Sevillian publication has been not totally accurate or complete. This study sets out a thorough and detailed description of the edition, spelling out the exact location of the issues –personally checked by this author– and commenting on six issues unknown to date. Finally the study will attempt a comparison of the content of both issues from Madrid and Seville.
