Abstract

The distribution of the press in the first decades of the XX century shows similarities to and differences from the current model, but is already one of the most influential factors in the possible success of a product as singular as a daily newspaper. Between the time of going to press and the departure of the first trains a period of time was delineated which only began to be more flexible with the use of the motor vehicle. The elements which make up a reliable distribution system are beginning to appear in Asturias, with well-defined functions and an increasing degree of professionalism coming into view.
