Análisis comparativo de contenido de la prensa local en Euskara: Estudio de Debabarrena

Abstract

In the following article a comparison about the content of the local Basque press published in Debabarrena has been done. This text takes as its starting point, the doctoral thesis that analyzes journalistic genres and emergent themes in the six local magazines (...eta kitto!, Pilpilean, Barren, Berriketan, Kalaputxi y Drogetenitturri) published in this region. Setting off from the results obtained from the thesis we want to know what the situation of Basque communication system in Debabarrena is at the end of the decade (2009). In others words, what the publications' characteristics are, which the contents are, which the service provided in the country is and which the most significant changes regarding the phase 2000-2004.
