Presencia y uso de internet en las redacciones catalanas

Abstract

The aim of this article is to examine the degree of spread of Internet in Catalan newsrooms and how it's changing professional routines. The study is based on a mail survey. The data was collected from questionnaires mailed to journalists on working associated to Col·legi de Periodistes de Catalunya. The results suggest that Internet use is absolutely integrated into the professional routines. In spite of this, Internet is not an indispensable media for journalistic practice yet and as origin of story topics, journalists still have low confidence on the net.
