Abstract

The electronic media, the Internet in particular, is a communication tool which has scarcely been used in Mexico to propagate knowledge in the fields of the Human and Social Sciences. In the area of Education, this kind of publication has appeared only in the last four years. This paper is the result of a review of the first generation of online journals on Education published in Mexico; the purpose of the study is to analyze the way the advantages and resources provided by this media, are used to produce periodical publications on Education.
