Abstract
The copyright and the intelectual property protect almost any kind of human creative activity. Nevertheless, the production of such work within a specific area may have influence on the author´s copyright. As referred to advertising, laws actually in force concerning this area lead advertising creatives to be protected, when defending their work, only by legislation according to copyright, without offering any protection by itself. As a matter of fact, the Estatuto de la Publicidad (statute on advertising) from 1964 warranted protection through legal acknowledgment for advertisers and their rights.
