Abstract
This article explores the conections between the positivist conception of the possible classification of everything and the Photograpy. Paying special attention to the Anthropometric and Physiognomist approaches of Bertillon and Galton in the XIX Century. Ironically, the idea of the Photograpy as a valuable aid for the classification of the reality was not accepted in the Media until very late, as the photography, and its supports, were considered as too fragile, of little perdurability.
