Abstract

Presentation of the special issue that vindicates the possibilities of psycho-sociological approaches when they accept the epistemological, methodological, etc., plurality of social psychologies. The hegemonic vision of the instituted Social Psychology about 'collective' is over-determined by the hegemonic vision that Psychology has and spreads on the 'collective' and, with it, the cultural and social process of psychologization of contemporary lives. That is why this special issue starts with the interrogation on the meaning of Psychology and on the work that Social Psychology can (or ought to, depending on the point of view) develop on the field of collective identities.
