Abstract

Teaching paradigms are changing and the student tends to be the focus of the teaching-learning process, for which activity learning seems an appropriate approach. Thus, we want to get a general idea of what is happening in our context, by examining  the presence of active methodologies in primary schools in Donostia-San Sebastián. Data have been gathered from inquiries made to primary teachers and interviews with experts. 46 teachers from 16 schools in Donostia-San Sebastián answered the questionnaire. In addition, a counselor of the Berritzegune of Donostia-San Sebastián and an inspector of the Department of Education have been interviewed. The results have shown that some active methodologies are known and used, but they are not fully assimilated.
