Abstract
The central contribution of this article is based on the treatment given to «Donibaneko Juan Huarte» in secondary sources, particularly in those which refer to the History of Pedagogy and the History of Education. Therefore, the key to the article will be the analysis of the contents of these sources in the field of teaching knowledge. The work of Huarte is examined based on the following four central points: biography/context, work, pedagogical contribution and length of time.
