Abstract

Information graphics have found a place in Spanish newspapers. Nonetheless, there is still a constant demand by the information graphics community to be recognized as playing a more important role in conveying information, a role not always reflected in the pages of the newspaper. The integration and role of information visualization in the media, with routines, standardization, complexities and confusions, involve a variety of approaches that capture the changes and challenges that have shaped the creative and narrative strategies of information graphics in the news.
