Abstract
After several years of maturation, digital media has begun to use more frequently and effectively three essential elements that differentiate it from paper press: hypertext, multimedia and interactivity. Having analysed these three tools—individually or in aggregate, and in various geographical areas—, we present here a methodology for ranking quality that allows us to evaluate and classify various types of media. The proposed scale, from 1 to 5, enables a final objective grade to be assigned with the main aim of improving journalistic practice.
