Abstract

The Economy for the Common Good (ECG) presents itself as one of the alternative economic systems to the capitalism that greater growth has experienced. However, the treatment of the media in Spain during the first decade of the development of this movement (2008-2017) does not correspond with this level of expansion, fact that condemns EBC to be a victim of the spiral of silence theory described by Noelle-Neumann (1995). The investigation analyzes the movement presence in the two main generalist newspapers of Spain (El País and El Mundo) and in the two main in the economic sphere (Expansión and Cinco Días).
