Abstract
Television market in Spain has multiplied its audiovisual content supply in the last years. The aim of this piece of research is the relation between this fact and quality perception from the public. The applied methodology includes a nation-wide survey. Results confirm that consumption level or supply abundance are not correlated with quality satisfaction by the audience; that highly-educated persons perceive less quality in television supply; that generalist networks do not differ much among themselves in terms of audience valuation; and, finally, that most of the public show concern on quality of television content and its social effects.
