Abstract
Interest in computers and telecommunications is growing rapidly. Nowadays, a large part of conversation on the new technologies is based on reading specialist publications. The consumer magazines specialising in computers have become a display window where the most recent technological advances are shown as a service to the reader and where the editorial content is aimed at guiding the reader's shopping decisions. Besides, the effort made by these magazines to involve themselves with personal computers and the Internet has resulted in both elements influencing page design.
