Abstract

This article pretends to trace an evolution of the movie theaters from the beginning of the film exhibition to our days, putting special emphasis on the consecutive reinvention that film business has had to develop in order to keep aluring public to theatres. In particularly, the article pays a special attention to the analysis of modern cinema complexes, located in malls: the variation experienced by the audience, the architectonical swifts that have affected such complexes and lastly the future hybridization of these cinemas with other leisure sites.
