About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Original papers on Basque linguistics and philology, and more general fields related or of interest to Basque studies are accepted, provided they are written in the languages most used by the international scientific community.
Peer Review Process
ASJU is a peer-reviewed journal. Each paper is evaluated anonymously by two external reviewers, whose comments are used to decide whether the paper should be published or not. Should a paper be accepted, a list of objections or changes deemed necessary will be sent to the author(s)
Open Access Policy
ASJU is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
No Charges
ASJU does not have either article submission charges or article processing charges (APCs).

3. Conditions of self-archiving. Authors are allowed and encouraged to disseminate electronically pre-print versions (versions before being evaluated) and/or post-print versions (versions reviewed and accepted for publication) of their works before publication, as this encourages a quicker circulation and dissemination and thus a possible increase in their scope and number of quotations among the academic community.
Online First
Online First articles are published online before they appear in an issue of the journal.
Articles appearing in this Online First section have been peer-reviewed and accepted for publication in this journal and posted online before print publication, but they are not laid out nor proofread. Any final changes in manuscripts will be made at the time of print publication and will be reflected in the final electronic version of the issue.
Contributions published Online First are citable by journal title, Online First publication date, and DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
