Análisis de los viveros de empresas en Galicia según su orientación tecnológica o generalista

Abstract

The main objective of the presented article is to analyze Galician business incubators and their impact on Galicia´s economy from a technological or general point of view and the study if technological business incubators have a greater impact in the region´s economy than the general ones.
First, literature will be revised to conceptualize innovation, technological innovation and technology-base companies, then the criteria followed so it can be categorized the types of Galician business incubators in technological or generalist, it will also be analyzed their characteristics, specification, management models, locations, entry requirements, services available, web site offer, years of operation, also economic resources, own revenues, reliance on public funding, physical space for the entrepreneur according to the star-up model, type of activity, gender, age, education and difficulty to enterprising.
Finally, the contributions made by each type of incubator will be analyzed according to the suggested indicators, entrepreneurship creation, employment generation and business sustainability using the comparison of independent samples' method, and Levene´s test to calculate the equality of variances carried out with the statistical package SPSS 22.0.0.0 version, to finally present the main conclusions of this study.
