Abstract
The main subject of this study is learning based evaluation. This evaluation method emphasises the educational role of evaluation, based on the integration of evaluation into teaching-learning processes, feed-back to students and their participation in evaluation processes. This article, which forms part of a broader study, presents the results obtained from a sample of 412 students from the University of the Basque Country, who were surveyed in order to determine their perceptions, attitudes and experiences regarding evaluation. In general, their answers show that we are still a long way from laying the foundations for an evaluation aimed at improving learning.
