Abstract

A new funerary inscription of the Hellenistic age found in Aptera (Crete) by the Greek archaeologist V. Ninioú-Kindelí is published and studied in this paper. The text of the inscription reads as follows: A) Σώσανδρος | Βίτωνος. B) Ἀμφιμήδης | Σωσάνδρω.
