Abstract
The analysis of Bandue deity name causes problems relative to the original form of the name, to the sex of the deity and the Roman interpretations on his function or iconographic illustration. The author proposes a functional identification with Tutela (therefore feminine picture), in spite of the masculine gender of Bandue.
