Abstract
This article is about tumular structures, their formal and functional variability (burial, settlement, etc. usage), and about their chronology. In it, we describe the examples of Txoritegi (Zerain —Gipuzkoa—) and Galardi (Ordizia —Gipuzkoa—), which are tumular structures used as mounds, possibly like watchtowers in the context of the Late Middle Ages. They are a new element in the territory, and to interpret them we have done an analysis of the wiewshed using GIS techniques.
