Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to construe a possible relationship between the choice of the prologue, as element representing tragic art, and certain aspects of its criticism in Frogs (the orthoepeia). The author suggests that we are confronting a way to call attention to the fictional and analytic character of tragic creation, manifested through a first-order framing element as the prologue was for Aristophanes.
