Abstract
For years we have been advocating the need to review the large amount of spolia that formed Antiquity architecture in Baetica. From the beginning, Epigraphy, in relation to which we have articulated a new method of analysis, has played an important role in this process. At the same time, this new way to study the inscriptions which lack an archaeological context also allows us to approach Epigraphy starting with archaeological methodologies, which have provided important new findings, including the confirmation of the fake nature and / or erroneous chronological attribution of various inscriptions, including the inscription IHC 65.
