Abstract

This research examines the representation of violence in 23 trailers of animated films produced by Walt Disney Pictures. Using the methodology of content and narrative analyses, and the previous experience of the researcher in the analysis of violence in the advertising spots, the profile representation of violence is extracted. The conclusions outlined in the model representation of violence in the trailers analyzed disadvantage with respect to the possible cognitive effects on minors, like imitation or insensitivity.
