Abstract

From the historical perspective and the Structural Approach, an empirical proof of the globalization of Communication through the concentration and diversification of capital is provided. It starts from the case of the Televisa group (Mexico) to understand wider areas of the Western world. There are no barriers to the free circulation of large capital, Communication is no exception, it is a part of a business macrostructure together with other productive sectors. The union between the "old" mercantile system and the new one, derived from technology and other fields, is obvious. It is the world power structure that stands as prevalent
